L’obiettivo del corso è il consolidamento delle competenze linguistiche attraverso un’analisi del contributo letterario e critico di alcuni scrittori e scrittrici anglofoni moderni e contemporanei. Considerando i mutamenti tecnologici che caratterizzano la società contemporanea, il corso offre un’analisi di un’ampia gamma di materiali che, attraverso un approccio interdisciplinare e multimediale, consentirà di elaborare un’interpretazione critica di aspetti cruciali riguardanti la società, la politica e la cultura del mondo anglofono contemporaneo.

Il corso offre una prospettiva dell’impatto della rivoluzione digitale sull’analisi di testi letterari anglofoni contemporanei. Particolare attenzione sarà dedicata allo studio delle interrelazioni tra Black music (Hip Hop e Techno) e letteratura afroamericana, al fine di riconsiderare fenomeni socio-culturali correlati e di riflettere sulle varietà linguistiche dell’Inglese.Testi Adottati

Il metodo di insegnamento prevede lezioni supportate da presentazioni online e materiale audiovisivo relativo agli argomenti trattati. Le lezioni saranno in lingua inglese. Agli studenti è richiesto di leggere in anticipo i materiali oggetto delle lezioni e di essere preparati a partecipare alle discussioni in classe. La frequenza non è obbligatoria ma è fortemente consigliata.Modalità Valutazione
La preparazione sarà valutata sia attraverso una Prova scritta, sia attraverso una Prova Orale. La Prova Scritta si basa su una serie di quesiti a risposta aperta sugli argomenti trattati, e sarà seguita da una Prova orale in inglese. In base all’esito della Prova orale, il voto finale potrà essere superiore o inferiore alla valutazione della Prova Scritta.
