The PhD course is taught in a dedicated classroom, with a wireless connection, projector and screen. In addition, the PhD program provides a dedicated study room for PhD students, with about eight workspaces for laptops and a printer.
Library, archival heritage and e-resources
In addition to the central Roma Tre University Library System, the Doctorate relies on the Library of Political Studies, located in its building. In this vast Library, 80,000 volumes are coming from the Centre for International Policy Studies (CESPI) and the Italian-Latin American Institute (ILA). PhD students are granted access to digital resources (e-journals, Roma Tre digital library, open-access resources). In addition, the Library of Political Studies signed up for 91 journal subscriptions and 34 e-journal subscriptions with free online access. The journal’s coverage ranges from 1995 to the present day. The Library provides complete coverage of all the topics of the course.
In 2013 the Library acquired the entire personal archive of Achille Albonetti, who held the chair of Director for International Relations of the National Committee for Nuclear Energy for twenty years. It is a rich collection of documents (over 200 binders) at the disposal of the PhD students.
Equipment and Laboratories
The Doctorate benefits from the collaboration of the Laboratories of the Department of Political Studies of Roma Tre:
- the Laboratory for Documentation and Research on Innovation in Political, Economic and Administrative Institutions (DRIPEA);
- the Iconographic Historical Research and Documentation Laboratory;
- the Multimedia Laboratory of Comparative Law;
- the Laboratory of Educational Innovation, Communication and Relational skills (LABICA).
