The Curricula
The PhD has three different Curricula:
- Government and Institutions
The “Government and Institutions” curriculum focuses on economics, public policies at the national and international level, governance, public and private management, and the political, social and constitutional Italian system.

- Gender Studies
The “Gender Studies” curriculum focuses on training and research through the gender approach. Different disciplines, such as history, political doctrines, law, sociology and anthropology dialogue with each other and address the crucial issues of gender in a globalized world marked by multicultural and multi-ethnic societies.
Curriculum Coordinator: Prof. Stefania Bartoloni
- European and International Studies
The “European and International Studies” curriculum focuses on studying European and international politics. It includes comparative politics, E.U. integration policies and institutions, area studies (Western and Eastern Europe, Africa, East Asia, United States, Latin America), international relations, international history, history of contemporary politics, international law, sociology and cultural studies.
